Becoming a Police Officer
To become a police officer with Cleveland Police you will go through six key stages:
- Stage 1 - Application Form
- Stage 2 - The Assessment Centre
- Stage 3 - The Cleveland Interview
- Stage 4 - Medical examination and Fitness Test
- Stage 5 - References and Security Checks
- Stage 6 - Police Officer induction training (University of Teesside)
Police Pay and Benefits
As a police officer, you will be able to take advantage of a wide range of benefits. Police pay is reviewed annually. Here are the figures for 2009/10: On commencing service £22,104; On completion of your initial training (around 12 months) £24,675.
