Special Constabulary at Cleveland

The Special Constabulary is a form of community service like no other. It is a voluntary, disciplined, and trained reserve designed to support and supplement the regular force.

The importance of the Special Constabulary as a valuable addition to the regular police is as great today as it has ever been. At Cleveland the Special Constabulary forms an integral part of the policing family.
