Volunteering at Cleveland Police
Thank you for considering volunteering with Cleveland police. The pressures on a modern police service are enormous and the Police Service works best when in works in partnership with the communities it serves.
Why volunteer with us?
Volunteers are extremely important to the force as they help us to engage and interact more effectively with local communities.
Volunteering can be fun and very rewarding. It will give you a unique opportunity to develop your skills and experiences and maybe even learn some new ones. You will also be in a privileged position to see how Cleveland Police operates from the inside and be able to influence the service the police provide.
The role of a volunteer is designed to enhance the work of the police and provide additional support in the area where the volunteer lives or works. All Volunteers assist police and staff who are then able to concentrate on core policing duties. As a result there are more officers on the streets and improved community support.
Becoming a police volunteer.
Volunteering opportunities vary from one station to another according to the needs of that particular police station and the local community. We will be allocating individuals to volunteer roles dependant on their skill, interests, and time available.

Interested In applying?
We are currently not recruiting for volunteers. This is due to the high number of responses from our communities and we still have a large number of applicants waiting to be processed. We will update the website when we are ready to re-open the volunteer recruitment process.
